5 free graphic design resources

At Left Brain | Right Brain, we’re all about providing free sources to the community. Don’t worry, there will be more in the future, but for now, here are five of our favorites:

Adobe Color
Adobe’s interactive tool lets you choose a color scheme and customize it to your liking, or upload an image which it will automatically generate a palette from. If you aren’t already using Adobe Color to develop stunning palettes, give it a try — you won’t be disappointed!

Muzli 2 Browser Extension
Muzli’s browser extension keeps you up to date on Marketing trends, art ideas and business resources that may be difficult to find otherwise. Rather than having to sift through search results manually, Muzli automatically presents the user with a relevant collection of new content. For example, I just opened up a new tab and found this helpful article in less than 10 seconds.

Online Optimism’s Blog
Online Optimism is one of our favorite Marketing agencies, and their website provides a multitude of useful material. They’re rocking everything from their brand, to company values, to free resources, and we encourage everyone to take a look at them. We promise you’ll feel more optimistic after spending some time on their positively charged website!

Pexels
When I was a student, my professors introduced me to Pexels: a free stock image resource. Pexels’ community shares high quality images and videos which users can download, edit, and use as they please. This presents many opportunities to Designers that would otherwise be locked behind payment. Go check out some photos!

KernType
Another resource I was given as a student was this fantastic kerning game. If you’re not familiar with kerning, it’s the amount of space between letters or characters. Sometimes this space will not automatically look right, so someone needs to kern it manually for Marketing or Design purposes, but kerning isn’t as easy as it may sound. That’s where this website comes in: it’s a fun way to train your eye in the art of kerning. Give it a try; can you get 100%?

Hope these help! Peace out,

Anna
